Engagement Story

Still photography is an excellent way of telling a story. But one of the things that is missing is the ability to hear the subjects of an image tell you their story in their own words. Video allows this, but at great expense. The human brain is hard-wired to remember individual images, not video. The solution is to add audio to still images in a format called “multimedia.” This approach allows for great storytelling while also ensuring you will enjoy great ‘moments,’ frozen in time. Websites for magazines like Time, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated and the New York Times have been using audio and still images for several years. But this is a new approach when used to tell the story of couples who are in love!

Jana and Alex have great stories to tell, and their words add great depth to my images. This approach is unique in Seattle: you won’t find engagement stories like this anywhere else!
