Wedding Photojournalist Association contest win!

I’m excited to share this image from Eric & Yingli’s wedding at the Willows Lodge last spring. I just found out that it placed first in the emotion category of the Wedding Photojournalist’s Association. I was so excited to hear the news, particularly because WPJA contests have great judges. Many of the judges are top photojournalists from around the country. It’s a notoriously difficult contest to well in!

Holly and Clay were married under snowy skies at Tibbetts Creek Manor . The guests were their very closest friends and family, about 30 people. There was a lot of emotion and these two are really sweet, which made for lots of great moments.

Kenny & Sheena | Mt. Shasta Resort | Mt. Shasta, CA

I drove down from Seattle to photograph Sheena and Kenny’s wedding in Mt. Shasta California. The ceremony and reception were at the beautiful Mt. Shasta Resort. Of course, it was a warm sunny day. Sheena and Kenny are from Portland, and they definitely like to have a good time. Such a fun crowd and great location made for stunning images.

Yesterday was my last day at the Record Searchlight. So today i’m officially self-employed, hehehe. I’ll be spending another week and a half down here, than Elise and I will be heading up to Seattle. Andreas Fuhrmann shot this photo of me at a fire a week or so ago. Bellow is the photo I was taking.
